About Care Home
Brackley Care Home is a nursing home in Brackley. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing on the premises, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people whose mental health needs sit alongside their physical ones. We also offer respite stays. Having nurses here at all hours changes what is possible. Wound and skin care, complicated medication, changing health and support at the end of life can be managed here, with the GP and community teams, rather than by moving somebody to hospital at a point when they would rather not go. Around the nursing, this is a place where people live. We ask what someone's day looked like before they came to us and try to protect the parts that matter. Some people want company and something on, others want quiet and their own room, and both are entirely reasonable. Where dementia makes words difficult, we rely on knowing the person, and on families telling us what we cannot work out for ourselves. Relatives are welcome and we encourage them to visit, to join in and to ask us questions. If something is not right we would much rather hear it from them straight away. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering nursing care in Brackley or the surrounding part of Northamptonshire, please arrange a visit and come and see us.
