About Cherry Trees

Cherry Trees is a nursing home in Alcester, Warwickshire. We care for adults who need registered nursing alongside help with daily life, including older people, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults whose health needs call for a nurse on hand at any hour. Nursing cover around the clock is what allows us to support people with genuinely complex needs. It means managing medication, skin and pressure care, continence and nutrition, and keeping close enough watch on health that a change is picked up while it is still small. Where somebody is approaching the end of their life, it means we can keep them comfortable here, among people who know them. Clinical care is only half the job. A nursing home can drift into being a place where everything is done to people and almost nothing is chosen by them, and we work against that. Residents decide when they get up, what they eat, whether they join in and who comes to see them. For people living with dementia we keep the day in a familiar order and the staff group as steady as we can, and we learn about somebody's earlier life because it explains a great deal about how they are now. Respite and short stays are available, including after hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us to arrange a visit.
