About Brookfield Nursing Home
Brookfield is a nursing home in Trafford. We support older people and younger adults whose needs include nursing care, including many living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. We also offer respite stays. Registered nurses are part of the team, which means health needs are met properly and locally, without another move to arrange. The clinical side is only part of a day here and usually the smaller part. The rest is the ordinary business of living somewhere: meals people want to eat, help that arrives without a long wait, privacy when it is wanted, company when it is not, and being spoken to as somebody with a working life and a family rather than as a set of conditions. Where a resident communicates differently we deal with that properly rather than half doing it. Staff here are paid and treated well enough that they stay, which we regard as a condition of good care rather than a separate matter. The Care Quality Commission rates us good overall. Our own test is whether somebody can still make a choice about their own day.
