About Ashford House
Ashford House is a nursing home in Stanwell, Surrey. We provide nursing care for older people, including people living with dementia, and we offer respite stays for those who need care for a shorter period. Having registered nurses on the team means we can look after people with real medical needs and can usually go on caring for somebody as those needs increase. Families often come to us at the point where residential care is no longer enough, and what they want most is for the moving to stop. We keep the home unhurried. People wake in their own time, eat what they enjoy and spend the day in company or quietly as they choose. Rooms are the residents' own and we treat them as private. For people living with dementia, our approach relies on familiarity and patience: knowing somebody's history, recognising what unsettles them, and giving time rather than instructions. We work closely with GPs and community teams so that problems are picked up early and hospital admissions happen only when they are genuinely needed. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking for nursing care in this part of Surrey, please come and see us, meet our nurses and carers and ask whatever you need to know.
