About Hatch Mill
Hatch Mill is a nursing home in Farnham, and we care for older people who need nursing support as well as help with daily life. Having qualified nurses on duty around the clock means we can manage health conditions that change from day to day, look after wounds, pressure care and complex medication, and act quickly when somebody becomes unwell rather than waiting for the next appointment. A good number of the people living here are living with dementia. For them we keep the day predictable, the surroundings familiar and the staff as consistent as we can, and we take our lead from the person in front of us. If somebody wants to walk about, we make it safe to do so rather than asking them to sit down. We also support people with a physical disability, with the right equipment and staff trained to help with moving and positioning comfortably and safely. Alongside the clinical side, we try to keep life recognisable: proper meals, a garden to sit in, conversation, and the freedom to spend the day the way you want to. Respite stays are available too, whether a family carer needs a break or somebody needs nursing support for a few weeks after a spell in hospital. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour, and we would always rather hear a concern early. Please contact us if you would like to visit.
