About Rose Garden
Rose Garden is a nursing home near Bristol, caring for people across South Gloucestershire whose needs bring together nursing and support with daily life. Our residents include older people, people living with dementia, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and those with sensory loss, as well as younger adults. Respite stays are available. Registered nurses are on duty at every hour, which is what allows us to manage medicines, wounds, continence and pressure care on site, and to pick up the early signs of illness before they become emergencies. When a resident can be treated here by people who already know them rather than moved to hospital, that is almost always the better outcome, and for someone living with dementia it can be decisive. We also judge ourselves on whether a day here is worth having. Being safely nursed and having nothing to look forward to is a poor bargain, and we treat it as our problem rather than an unavoidable feature of nursing care. With residents whose needs are so varied, the team has to know people individually, which is why we work hard to keep experienced staff for the long run. Respite care is offered after illness or surgery and for family carers needing a break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and see us at an ordinary time and ask whatever you need to.
