Here at Chelston Park Nursing and Residential Home and Chelston Gardens Dementia Nursing Home, we are proud to be a well established part of the Wellington community in Somerset. We provide nursing care, residential care for older people, specialist dementia nursing care and respite care, all delivered in a way that feels genuinely personal to each individual who comes through our doors. Our two homes work closely together, which means we are able to support people at different stages of their journey and adjust the care we provide as needs change over time. Whether someone is joining us for a short respite stay or moving in on a longer term basis, we take the time to understand who they are, what matters to them and how they like their day to look. Dementia care sits at the heart of much of what we do at Chelston Gardens. Supporting someone living with dementia well takes thought, consistency and a real understanding of the person behind the diagnosis. Our team works hard to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and safe, while still encouraging independence and meaningful activity wherever possible. We are genuinely pleased to have been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, a reflection of the hard work our whole team puts in every day. It is not something we take for granted, and it keeps us focused on continuing to improve and learn.
