About The Rosary Nursing Home
The Rosary Nursing Home is a nursing home in Bridgwater, Somerset, with registered nurses on duty at every hour alongside our care team. We look after older people with nursing needs, younger adults with nursing needs, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and people with loss of sight or hearing. People generally come to us when their health needs have grown beyond what residential care or support at home can safely meet. Our aim is to look after those needs thoroughly while keeping the day recognisably like life rather than like treatment. That means time for conversation and for visitors, a garden to sit in, and being taken out when somebody is well enough for it. The nursing covers management of long term conditions, wound and skin care, continence support, help with eating and swallowing difficulties, and close oversight of medication. We work with GPs, district nurses and therapy teams, and we involve families in decisions rather than presenting them with conclusions already reached. For people living with dementia and those with sensory loss we keep routines steady and adapt how we communicate and approach somebody. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and visitors are welcome.
