About Lyndale Nursing Home
We are Lyndale Nursing Home in Southport. We care for older people who need qualified nursing as well as support with daily living, and we also look after younger adults with nursing needs. Respite stays are available for shorter periods. We have kept our focus clear rather than trying to cover every kind of provision. Nursing care is what we do, and having nurses on duty at all hours is what allows health needs to be looked after as they change, so that nobody has to move again just as they have settled. Around the nursing we try to keep ordinary life going. People get up when they want, eat what they like, choose where to sit and keep their own belongings and routines. We take the trouble to learn a person's history and preferences, because that is what allows staff to see the individual rather than the list of needs, and it is what makes an early change in somebody's condition obvious. Where we care for younger adults, we plan around their own interests and independence deliberately, rather than expecting them to fit a routine built for people decades older. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Relatives are welcome at any reasonable hour. Please ring us if you would like to visit.
