About Byng House
We are a nursing home in Southport, caring for people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with the everyday parts of life. Nurses are on hand at any hour, which means a change in somebody's condition is picked up early rather than allowed to build, and it takes a weight of worry off families who have been managing alone. Most of the people who live here are older, and we also care for younger adults whose health needs make nursing care necessary. We support people living with dementia, where familiar staff and unhurried time matter more than any particular method, and people living with mental health needs, offering steady company on the harder days rather than simply managing a diagnosis. We also care for people with a physical disability, working alongside therapists so that equipment and comfort are properly thought out, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Respite stays are available, whether that is a planned break for a family carer or a period of recovery after illness or a hospital admission. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep asking residents and relatives what could be better, because the useful feedback rarely turns up on an inspection day. If you would like to visit, meet the team and see how the home runs, please get in touch.
