About Valley Court
Valley Court is a nursing home in Cradley Heath, and we care for older people whose health needs call for qualified nursing. We also take respite stays, which give a family carer a genuine break in the knowledge that the person they look after is properly looked after too. Having registered nurses on duty at every hour is the heart of what we offer. Medication is managed carefully, wound care and conditions that need regular attention are handled here rather than through a run of appointments elsewhere, and a change in someone's health is usually noticed early because the person noticing knows the resident. We work closely with GPs, district nurses and hospital teams, and we chase things up on a resident's behalf when they move slowly. Nursing is only part of it, though. The rest is the ordinary business of living somewhere comfortable. Residents choose when to get up, where to sit, what they would like to eat and whether they want company or quiet. Rooms are people's own space, filled with their own things, and visitors come when it suits them rather than when it suits us. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour, and we would much rather relatives asked us direct questions than worried quietly at home. Ring us if you would like to come and look round.
