About Alexandra Nursing & Residential Home
Here at Alexandra Nursing & Residential Home in Rotherham, we provide a range of care that genuinely meets people where they are in life. Whether someone is living with dementia, recovering and in need of short term respite, or requiring full nursing care, we work to make sure every person in our home feels known, respected and properly looked after. We support older people, younger adults and those with complex nursing needs, and we take that breadth of experience seriously. No two people are the same, and we do not treat them as though they are. Our team takes time to understand each resident's history, preferences and routines, because getting that right makes a real difference to how someone feels day to day. Dementia care is something we put a great deal of thought into. We know how disorienting and difficult this journey can be, not just for the person living with dementia but for their family too. We aim to create an environment that feels calm and familiar, and we keep families involved and informed throughout. For those joining us for respite care, we want the transition to feel as easy as possible. A short stay should still feel comfortable and personal, not temporary or overlooked. Our most recent Care Quality Commission rating is good, and we are proud of that, though we see it as a reflection of ongoing work rather than a finishing line. We are always looking at how we can do things better. If you are exploring care options for yourself or someone you love, we would genuinely welcome the chance to have a conversation. Come and visit us, meet the team and get a feel for the home. We are based in Rotherham and are happy to help guide you through what can feel like a very big decision.
