About Dunelm
Dunelm is a nursing home in Romford, serving families across Redbridge and the surrounding boroughs. What marks us out is the breadth of what we can manage under one roof. Alongside nursing care for older people we support adults with learning disabilities and autism, people living with mental ill health, and residents with physical disabilities or with sight and hearing loss. Younger adults live here too, and we think the mix of ages and life stories makes for a livelier household than a narrower one would. Having qualified nurses on the team at all hours means we can look after people whose health is complicated or changeable. It also means that when things shift, the response comes from staff who already know the person, which usually matters more than anything written in a care plan. We know that arriving somewhere new can be daunting, particularly for someone who communicates differently or finds unfamiliar places difficult. So we go at the pace of the person rather than the paperwork. Visits before a move, a room arranged the way someone wants it, familiar things brought from home: none of it is complicated, and all of it helps. We also offer respite, whether that is a planned break for a family carer or a short stay while someone regains their strength. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We would rather you judged us by coming to see the place, so do get in touch and arrange a visit.
