About The Grange Care Centre
The Grange Care Centre in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, provides nursing care for older people, including residents living with a physical disability. Qualified nurses are on hand throughout the day and night, so health needs are met here by people who know the resident well rather than by strangers at short notice. Our nursing work covers medication, mobility, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort, and we pay close attention to the quieter signals, appetite, mood and sleep, that usually come before anything measurable. Where a resident has a physical disability, our aim is to take the obstacle out of the way rather than to narrow what they do, so equipment, positioning and timing all matter. Life here is led by residents rather than by a rota. People choose when to get up, where to spend the day and how much company they want. Meals are taken seriously, the grounds are used whenever the weather allows, and relatives are welcome without appointment. Respite stays are available for shorter periods. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Outstanding. We are proud of it and clear that it has to be earned again every week. Please come and visit on an ordinary day and ask us anything you like.
