About OSJCT Isis House Care & Retirement Centre
Here at Isis House Care & Retirement Centre in Donnington, Oxfordshire, we provide nursing home care for people who need a little more support in later life, or at times when extra help makes a real difference. We care for older adults, people living with dementia, younger adults with care needs, and those who come to us for a short respite stay. Whatever brings someone through our doors, we try to make sure they feel genuinely at home with us, not just looked after. Our team provides nursing care around the clock, which means families can feel reassured that there is always a qualified nurse on hand. For those living with dementia, we think carefully about how we approach each person's day, recognising that familiarity, calm and individual understanding matter enormously. No two people experience dementia in the same way, and we do our best to reflect that in the way we work. Respite care is something we take seriously too. Whether someone is recovering after a hospital stay or their usual carer needs a break, we want the experience to feel settled and supported rather than unsettling. Some people who come for a short stay end up choosing to stay with us longer, which we always take as a good sign. We were pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us as good, and we see that as encouragement to keep listening, keep learning and keep improving. We are part of OSJCT, a not for profit organisation with deep roots in Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties, which means everything we do is focused on the people in our care rather than on profit. If you would like to find out more or come and look around, we would love to hear from you.
