About Hampden House
At Hampden House, we provide nursing home care for people in Harrogate and across North Yorkshire. We support a wide range of needs, including older person care, nursing care, dementia care, care for younger adults, and respite care, so whether someone is joining us for a short stay or moving in on a longer term basis, we work hard to make sure they feel genuinely at home here. We are proud to have been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission, and we take that as encouragement to keep doing what we do well while always looking for ways to improve. Our team gets to know each resident as an individual, understanding what matters to them, how they like their day to look, and what brings them comfort or joy. That knowledge shapes the care we provide, rather than the other way around. For those living with dementia, we know how important it is to feel safe and familiar in your surroundings. We think carefully about how we can reduce anxiety and support people to retain as much independence and confidence as possible. For younger adults coming to us, we recognise that their needs and expectations can differ significantly from those of older residents, and we make sure their care reflects that. Respite care is something we approach with particular care, because we understand that families are often navigating a difficult period when they reach out to us. We want to offer reassurance as much as anything else. Harrogate is a wonderful place to be, and we feel lucky to be part of this community. If you would like to come and see us, speak to a member of our team, or simply find out more about whether Hampden House might be the right fit for you or someone you love, please do get in touch.
