About Fairfax Manor Care Home
Here at Fairfax Manor Care Home, we provide nursing care for older people, younger adults and those living with dementia in the heart of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. We also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay, whether that is to recover after a hospital admission or to give family carers a much needed break. We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that trust lightly. From the moment someone walks through our doors, we want them to feel genuinely at home. That means getting to know each person as an individual, understanding what matters to them, what their routines look like, and how they like to spend their time. Good care, in our view, starts with really listening. Our nursing team works closely with residents, families and visiting health professionals to make sure that medical and personal needs are met with both skill and kindness. For those living with dementia, we take particular care to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and supportive, adapting our approach as needs change over time. We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us as Good. That rating reflects the hard work of our whole team, but we are always looking at where we can do better. We hold regular resident and family meetings, welcome honest feedback, and use it to keep improving. Harrogate is a wonderful place to call home, and we make the most of the local community whenever we can, whether through outings, visiting entertainers or simply enjoying the surroundings we are lucky enough to be part of. If you would like to find out more or come for a visit, we would be very happy to hear from you.
