About Berwick Grange
Here at Berwick Grange, we provide nursing home care for older people in the heart of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Our team supports residents with a range of needs, including nursing care, dementia care and respite care, and we work hard to make sure that every person who comes through our doors feels genuinely looked after. We know that choosing a care home for yourself or someone you love is not a decision taken lightly. It involves trust, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our staff get to know each resident as an individual, understanding their routines, preferences and what matters most to them day to day. Good care, in our view, starts with listening. For those living with dementia, we aim to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and safe. We recognise that dementia affects people in very different ways, and we tailor our approach accordingly rather than applying a one size fits all method. Our respite care is there for families and carers who need short term support, whether that is to take a break, recover from an illness or manage an unexpected situation. We welcome respite residents with the same care and attention as our long term residents. We are open about the fact that our most recent Care Quality Commission rating is one that requires improvement. We want to be honest about where we are, and more importantly, about the steps we are taking to address the areas identified. Our team is committed to making real, lasting improvements and we welcome feedback from residents, families and visitors as part of that process. If you would like to find out more about life at Berwick Grange or arrange a visit, we would be very glad to hear from you.
