About Hadrian House
Hadrian House is a nursing home in Newcastle Upon Tyne. We provide nursing care for older people and for younger adults whose health needs go beyond what a residential home can safely offer, with qualified nurses on duty throughout the day and night. Many residents live with dementia as well as physical illness. Caring for people in that position is detailed work. Pain that cannot be described, appetite that changes without warning, skin that needs watching, and confusion that comes and goes all have to be noticed early, and that depends on staff who know the person rather than simply the notes. We plan care with residents and their families. Sleep, meals, privacy, company and the shape of the day matter as much as anything clinical, and we record what each person prefers so that care does not depend on who happens to be on shift. We work alongside GPs, district nurses, therapists and hospital teams to keep treatment prompt and to avoid unnecessary moves. Respite stays are available for families needing a break and for people requiring nursing support for a short period. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. If you are looking at nursing care for yourself or a relative, please contact us and come and see the home for yourself.
