About Parklands Care Home
Parklands Care Home is a nursing home in Weston super Mare. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily life, for adults with mental health needs and for younger adults whose nursing needs are best met in a home like ours. Nurses are on duty day and night, so health conditions are managed here rather than left to become a crisis. Because we support people with mental health needs as well as older people, we take assessment seriously and we say honestly when we do not think we are the right place. Once somebody lives here, the plan is theirs and it is reviewed properly as things change. We work closely with local mental health services, doctors and community teams, and medication is managed carefully. What we try hardest at is keeping life recognisable. Residents decide when they get up, what they eat, where they sit and who visits. Being near the sea helps, and getting out for some air is part of the ordinary week rather than a special event. Respite stays are available for people who need nursing support for a short period and for family carers who need a proper break. Families are welcome and we would always rather hear a concern early than late. Please ring us if you would like to come and look round.
