About Lyndhurst Park Nursing Home
Lyndhurst Park Nursing Home is in Weston Super Mare, North Somerset. We provide nursing care for older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairment and people with eating disorders. We take respite admissions alongside permanent places. Qualified nurses are on site around the clock, so we can look after people whose health needs are complex or changing, manage a great deal here rather than in hospital, and give care towards the end of life calmly and without hurry. We support a genuinely mixed group of people, which makes individual planning essential rather than optional. What an autistic younger adult needs from us has little in common with what an older resident living with dementia needs, and it would be a disservice to both to pretend otherwise. So we plan person by person and pay attention to environment, communication, routine and the pace we work at. Alongside the clinical work we try to hold on to the ordinary things: being comfortable and properly dressed, food worth eating, company, and a day with some shape to it. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome at Lyndhurst Park at any reasonable hour, and we would far rather hear a concern at the time than long afterwards. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
