About Elm View Care Home
Elm View is a nursing home in Clevedon. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily living, including people living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We also take respite bookings. Having nurses on site changes what can be managed here. Wound care, catheters, complicated medication and health that shifts from one day to the next are handled in the home rather than through repeated trips to hospital, which matters most at the stage when somebody is worn out by being moved around. The nursing is only part of the job. People here choose how their day runs, keep their own belongings around them, eat food they actually want and see their families whenever they like. Being nursed should not mean being managed, and we work at keeping ordinary life going alongside the treatment. We speak plainly with relatives, particularly when health is changing, and we would rather ring you than wait for you to ring us. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are looking at nursing or respite care in this part of Somerset, please get in touch and come and see the home.
