About Ford Place Nursing Home
Here at Ford Place, we are proud to be a nursing home at the heart of Thetford, Norfolk, caring for people with a genuine commitment to getting things right for each individual who walks through our doors. We provide care for older people, those living with dementia, younger adults, and people who need nursing level support. We also offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether that is to recover after a spell in hospital or to give a family carer some time to rest. Whatever brings someone to us, we aim to make sure they feel at home here. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us as Outstanding, and that means a great deal to the whole team. It reflects the effort that goes into every shift, every conversation, and every small decision made on behalf of the people in our care. We do not take that rating for granted and we work hard to maintain the standards that earned it. Caring for someone with dementia requires patience, skill and a real understanding of the person behind the diagnosis. Our team has developed strong knowledge in this area, and we approach dementia care in a way that focuses on wellbeing, familiarity and dignity rather than simply managing symptoms. We know that choosing a nursing home, whether for yourself or for someone you love, is one of the most significant decisions a family can face. We welcome visits, questions and honest conversations. We would rather you came and spent time with us, met the team and got a feel for the place than simply read about us online. If you would like to find out more about what we offer at Ford Place, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are always happy to talk.
