About Kings Court Care Home

Kings Court Care Home is a nursing home in Holt, caring for older people whose health needs have gone beyond what can be managed comfortably at home. Qualified nurses are here at every hour, which means changes in somebody's condition are picked up early and handled calmly rather than through repeated journeys to hospital. A large part of our work is with people living with dementia. We keep the day predictable and unhurried, we make sure people see faces they recognise and we pay attention to the small things that settle a person. We also care for younger adults, and we plan their day around their own interests rather than expecting them to fit into an older person's routine. Respite care is available as well, for people recovering after illness or a hospital stay and for family carers who need a genuine break. Short stays are planned properly, so somebody arrives to a room prepared for them and a team who already know how they like things done. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so openly. Until we do, the fairest way to judge us is to visit, see how people here spend their day and ask the nurses and carers whatever you want to know.
