About Oakdene Care Home
Oakdene Care Home is a nursing home in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, with registered nurses on duty around the clock alongside our care team. We look after older people whose health needs require nursing, and we offer permanent places as well as shorter respite stays. People generally come to us when their health needs have grown beyond what residential care or support at home can safely meet. The nursing covers management of long term conditions, wound and skin care, continence support, help where eating and swallowing have become difficult, and careful oversight of medication. We work closely with local GPs, district nurses, dietitians and therapists, and we involve families in decisions about treatment rather than informing them once a decision is made. What we work hardest to avoid is letting the clinical side take over the day. Someone living here is a person before they are a set of needs, and the parts of a week that matter most are usually the least medical ones: family visiting, a conversation that runs on, a turn round the garden. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visitors are welcome.
