About The Willows
The Willows is a nursing home in Loughborough, Leicestershire, where registered nurses are on duty throughout the day and night alongside our care team. We look after older people with nursing needs, younger adults with nursing needs, and people living with physical disabilities. Nursing care covers a great deal of ground. For the people living here it means the management of long term conditions, careful attention to skin and to wounds, support with continence, help with eating and drinking where that has become difficult, and close oversight of medication. We work closely with local GPs, district nurses and therapy teams, and we ask for specialist input early rather than waiting to see how things develop. What we try to avoid is letting the clinical side take over the day. Someone living here is a person before they are a set of needs, and the most important parts of the week are often the least medical ones: a visit from family, a game of cards, being taken out into the garden when the weather allows. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places, including for people needing a period of skilled care after a stay in hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are welcome to come and see the home, so please do ring us.
