About Lakelands Lodge
We are a nursing home in Fleetwood, on the Lancashire coast, and we look after people who need qualified nursing support alongside everyday care. Our nurses are on duty at all hours, which means changes in someone's health are picked up early and dealt with calmly, without a rush to hospital whenever that can reasonably be avoided. Most of the people who live here are older, though not all of them, and we also support younger adults with nursing needs. For those living with dementia we keep the day gentle and predictable. Familiar routines, unhurried mealtimes and staff who know a person's history all help somebody feel settled rather than unsettled by their surroundings. We offer respite stays as well as permanent places. A short stay can give a family carer a proper rest, or provide somewhere safe to regain strength after a spell in hospital, and people are welcome to see how they get on here before making any longer decision. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated the home Good. That matters to us, though what tends to count more from one day to the next is whether the tea arrives when someone wants it and whether relatives feel able to walk in and ask a question. Visitors are always welcome. If you are looking at nursing care in Fleetwood or along the wider Fylde coast, please arrange a time to come and look round, meet the team and see the place as it really is.
