About The Grange Care Home
The Grange Care Home is a nursing home in Colne, Lancashire. We care for older people and younger adults who need skilled nursing, people living with dementia, those managing mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. We also take respite bookings. Supporting that range of needs takes plans built around individuals rather than categories. We spend proper time getting to know somebody, write down what genuinely helps them and what does not, and review it honestly as things change. What steadies one person here would unsettle another, and we would rather find that out by asking than by guessing. Having qualified nurses on duty at all hours means we can look after people with substantial health needs on site and usually manage a period of illness here rather than through repeated hospital admissions. Our care staff work alongside the nursing team and know people well enough to notice when something is not right. We also work to keep this a place where people live. Rooms hold people's own belongings, the day has shape without being regimented, and there is company for those who want it and peace for those who do not. Families are welcome whenever suits them and are part of how decisions get made. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please ring if you would like to look round.
