About Wytham Lodge
We are a nursing home in Burnley, caring for people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with the ordinary parts of daily life. Nurses are available at every hour, which means a change in somebody's health is noticed and acted on early rather than left to develop. Most of the people who live here are older, and we also care for younger adults whose health needs make nursing care necessary. We support people living with dementia, where knowing the person properly does more good than any technique applied to a stranger, and people living with mental health needs, offering steady and patient company on the harder days. We also care for people with a physical disability, working alongside therapists so that equipment and comfort are properly considered, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Respite stays are available, whether that is a planned break for a family carer or a period of recovery after illness or a spell in hospital. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather say so plainly than let it pass unmentioned, and we would encourage you to come and see the home, meet the nursing team and ask us whatever you need to. Please get in touch if you would like to arrange a visit.
