About Roby House Care Centre

We are Roby House Care Centre, a nursing home in Liverpool, in the borough of Knowsley. We provide nursing care for older people and for younger adults, including people living with a physical disability, and we take respite admissions as well as permanent residents. Because we have nursing staff here through the day and the night, we can look after people whose health needs are substantial or likely to change, and we can do it without anyone having to move somewhere new each time their condition shifts. That continuity is worth a great deal, both to the person and to the family who no longer has to explain everything from scratch. For residents with a physical disability, the difference between good care and poor care is usually time and attention to detail. Enough time that a transfer is unhurried. Equipment set up the way it should be. Being asked how something is best done by the person who knows, which is the resident. We also think a care home should feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere they are kept. People keep their own routines and belongings, and visitors are welcome without appointment. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
