About Woodchurch House
Woodchurch House is a nursing home near Ashford in Kent, and we take on a broader range of needs than most homes of our size. We care for older people and for younger adults, providing both residential and nursing care, with qualified nurses on duty at all times. We support people living with dementia, adults with mental health needs, people with a physical disability and residents with sight or hearing loss, and we also support people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug dependency. That mix means we take assessment seriously. Before anybody moves in we want to be sure we can meet their needs properly and that the placement will work for them and for the people already living here. Support is planned with the individual. For some that means careful clinical care and help with everything; for others it means very little practical help but a good deal of structure, encouragement and someone who will listen without judging. We train our staff for the people they actually look after, and we keep teams consistent so that trust has a chance to build. We offer respite stays as well, for family carers who need a break and for people who need nursing support for a short period. Visitors are welcome, and we would always rather be told early if something is wrong. Please ring us if you would like to arrange a visit.
