About Hazel Lodge
Hazel Lodge is a nursing home in Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Having qualified nurses on duty means we can care for people whose health needs go beyond what a residential home can safely manage, and it usually means somebody can stay with us as their needs increase rather than facing another move, which matters particularly on the island where options are fewer. We care for older people who need nursing support, including many living with dementia and many with physical disabilities, and we support people living with sight or hearing loss. Respite stays are available for people needing nursing care for a limited period or whose family carer needs a break. Clinically our attention goes where it counts: medication, skin integrity, nutrition and hydration, pain, safe moving and handling, and acting early when a condition is changing. We work closely with the GP practice and the community health teams on the island. Beyond the clinical side, this is where people live. Residents keep their own rooms and their own belongings, choose when to get up and what to eat, and can have company or quiet as they prefer. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange to visit.
