About Maryville Care Home
Maryville Care Home is a nursing home in Brentford. We provide nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia, and we support adults with a learning disability or autism. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. With registered nurses on duty around the clock we can manage medication, wound care, continence, long term conditions and care at the end of life here, working closely with local GPs, community teams and specialists. That usually takes the greatest worry away from families, which is not knowing who is on hand overnight. Supporting people with a learning disability or autism alongside older people needs care and thought, and we do not pretend otherwise. It means genuinely individual planning, attention to how each person communicates, and staff who understand that what suits one resident may be quite wrong for another. Where somebody does not use speech we learn how they do communicate and we write it down so that everyone works the same way. For people living with dementia we keep the day familiar and unhurried and we keep staff teams consistent, because recognising a face is worth more than any planned activity. We are in a busy and varied part of London and the people who live here reflect that, so food, language and faith are taken seriously. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visitors are welcome at any reasonable time.
