About Millbrow Care Home
We are Millbrow Care Home, a nursing home in Widnes. We look after older people who need qualified nursing as well as support with daily life, and we also care for younger adults with nursing needs. Respite stays are available for shorter periods. Nursing care around the clock is what allows us to manage health needs as they change rather than sending someone elsewhere the moment things become more complicated. That matters particularly to families who have already been through several moves and want somewhere their relative can stay. We work hard to keep this feeling like a home rather than a small hospital. People choose when they get up and when they go to bed, what they want to eat and how much they want to join in. We take time to learn individual preferences, and we write them into how we work so that they survive a change of shift. We also make a point of supporting younger adults properly, rather than expecting them to fit into a routine designed for people forty years older. Their interests, their friendships and their independence are planned for deliberately. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Relatives are welcome at any reasonable hour and we keep them informed rather than waiting to be asked. Please contact us if you would like to look round.
