About Wyncroft House
Wyncroft House is a nursing home in Kingswinford. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside help with everyday living, including residents living with dementia. Having nurses on duty at all hours means we can manage wound and pressure care, continence and catheter needs, diabetes, pain relief and end of life care, and it means somebody whose health declines can usually remain here rather than facing another move. For residents living with dementia we keep surroundings calm, routines predictable and staff consistent, and we give people the time they need to find their words. We want to be straightforward about where we stand. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are working through the points raised, with particular attention to record keeping, staff supervision and the consistency of care planning, and we would much rather set that out ourselves and answer your questions than have you come across it elsewhere. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places, including nursing support after a hospital discharge. Families across Dudley are welcome to visit and ask us anything.
