About Jubilee Court
Jubilee Court is a nursing home in Bilston, supporting adults from across Dudley and the Black Country. We care for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities and people with visual or hearing impairments, including many younger adults whose nursing needs are complex. Having registered nurses on the team at all times means we can support people whose health requires close clinical attention without them being moved from place to place. It also means we can respond properly when someone becomes unwell rather than defaulting to hospital. Our residents are adults with their own preferences and histories, and a nursing registration does not change that. People choose how their day runs, what they eat, who visits and what they do. Where communication is difficult, the work is on us to find the method that suits the person, whether that involves signing, symbols, technology or simply patience and familiarity. We also offer respite stays, which give family carers a genuine break and give guests a proper welcome. We want to be straightforward about our last inspection. The Care Quality Commission rated us as requires improvement. We are working through what was identified, with tighter oversight of care records, more structured staff supervision and clearer checks that our intentions are matched by what actually happens each day. Families and professionals are welcome to visit, ask difficult questions and see the service as it really is.
