About Dent House Nursing Home
Here at Dent House, we provide nursing home care in the heart of Matlock, Derbyshire, supporting a wide range of people with varying needs and backgrounds. Our home has received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the consistent effort our team puts into making sure every person in our care feels safe, respected and genuinely at home. We care for older adults, people living with dementia, individuals with a learning disability or autism, those experiencing mental health difficulties, and people with visual or hearing impairments. We also support younger adults and offer respite care for those who need a short term stay, whether to recover after a period of illness or to give family carers a proper break. Because our residents come to us with such different needs and life experiences, we take time to get to know each person properly. Care is planned around the individual, not the other way around. We want to understand what matters most to each resident, the routines that bring them comfort, the hobbies they enjoy, the way they prefer to communicate and we build our support around that. Our nursing team provides clinical oversight around the clock, which gives residents and their families reassurance that any health needs are being monitored and managed well. Families are always welcome here and we encourage them to stay involved and informed as much as they wish to be. Matlock is a wonderful town to be based in, and wherever possible we like to connect residents with the local community and the natural surroundings that make this part of Derbyshire so special. If you are considering Dent House for yourself or someone you care about, we would warmly welcome you to come and visit us and see the home for yourself.
