About Yarningdale
Yarningdale is a nursing home in Codnor, Derbyshire. Being registered for nursing care means we can support people whose health needs go beyond what a residential home can safely meet, with qualified nurses working alongside our care team rather than coming in from outside. We care for older adults with ongoing medical conditions, managing medication, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort while helping with the everyday tasks of washing, dressing and moving about. Dementia care is a substantial part of our work, and it rests on knowing each person well enough to reassure them in terms that make sense to them. We support residents living with mental health conditions, where a settled environment and staff who notice early changes matter a great deal, and residents with physical disabilities, adapting how we assist so that independence survives alongside safety. We support younger adults with nursing needs, planning their days around their own interests, and we also care for people affected by alcohol or drug misuse, without judgement. Respite stays are available for families needing a planned break or extra support after a hospital discharge. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour, and we would much rather hear a worry early than find out about it late.
