About Trevarna Residential and Nursing Home
Trevarna is a residential and nursing home in St Austell. We care for older people who need qualified nursing as well as help with daily life, for residents living with dementia and for people living with mental health conditions. We also care for some younger adults with complex needs. Having nurses here at all hours means we can manage wound care, continence needs, diabetes, pain relief and the kind of monitoring that would otherwise mean repeated trips to hospital. It also means that as somebody's needs increase they can usually stay with us, among their own things and familiar faces, rather than moving on at a difficult moment. Because we offer both residential and nursing care, we can respond when a person's health changes without uprooting them, and that continuity is one of the things families value most about the place. For residents living with dementia we keep the day predictable and the staff around them consistent, and we rely on families to tell us about a person's history. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Cornwall are welcome to visit. Please ring and we will arrange a time.
