About Potton House
We are a nursing home in Biggleswade, caring for people who need qualified nursing support as well as help with the everyday parts of life. Nurses are available at any hour, which means a change in someone's health is noticed and acted on quickly rather than left to become a crisis. Many of the people who live here are older, and we also care for younger adults whose health needs make nursing care necessary. We support people living with dementia, and we take the view that knowing the person is the heart of it: their history, their habits, what settles them and what does not. We also care for people living with mental health needs, and we try to offer steady, patient company on the harder days rather than simply managing a condition. Respite stays are available, whether that is a planned break for a family carer who has been coping alone or a period of recovery after illness or a hospital admission. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather hear early and honestly when something has slipped, so we ask residents and their families regularly and we act on what we are told. If you would like to look round and meet the team, please get in touch and we will find a time that suits you.
