About Sunnyside Nursing Home
Sunnyside Nursing Home sits in Iver in Buckinghamshire and offers nursing care for older people and for younger adults whose health needs call for qualified nurses on site around the clock. People come to us at very different points. Some arrive after a long illness or a spell in hospital, some move in because coping at home has quietly become too much, and some join us for a short respite stay. Having registered nurses here at all hours changes what we can do. Wounds, catheters, diabetes, pain relief and the more complicated medicine routines are all looked after in house, so people are not shuttled about unnecessarily and families are not left worrying about who is on duty overnight. We work alongside local GPs, district nursing teams and specialists, and we ask for outside advice early rather than late. We also care for people living with dementia. What we aim for there is calm and continuity, a day with a comfortable shape to it, staff who know a person's history well enough to spot when something is off, and time for the small conversations that matter more than any activity timetable. Respite stays are genuinely welcome. A family carer who needs a fortnight away or a rest after their own operation will find the same standard of care as anyone living here permanently. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. We are pleased with that and we are glad to show anyone around so they can judge for themselves.
