About The Heights
The Heights is a nursing home in High Wycombe. We care for adults who need qualified nursing support as well as help with daily living, with registered nurses on duty at all hours so that clinical needs can be met here rather than through repeated journeys elsewhere. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are glad of it, and we are also clear that a rating reflects the daily work of a team rather than substituting for it. The work has to be done again tomorrow. Most of our residents are older and many are living with dementia. We build the day around the person as far as a rota allows. Unhurried mornings, food somebody actually wants, familiar music, somewhere to sit outside, and staff who know when company is welcome and when quiet is better. We also support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with physical disabilities and younger adults with nursing needs, and we try to make sure the life of the home has something in it for everyone rather than assuming one shared afternoon suits all. Respite stays are available too. Please arrange a visit if you would like to see the home and ask us whatever you want to ask.
