About Druid Stoke Care Home
We are a nursing home in Bristol, caring for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing support, including people living with physical disabilities. Nursing care here is about steadiness. Our nurses and carers work as one team, so the person helping someone wash in the morning is the same person who notices that they are quieter than usual, eating less or in more discomfort than yesterday. Those small observations get passed on and acted upon, and they are the reason problems are often caught before they become serious. We manage medicines, mobility, skin care, nutrition and long term conditions, and we work closely with local GPs and community teams. We also want the home to feel like a home. People decide their own routines, keep their own possessions around them and see visitors when it suits them. Meals are proper meals, and we take note of what people actually enjoy eating rather than what is easiest to cook. Respite stays are available, whether someone needs support while recovering from illness or a family carer needs time to rest.
