About Beaufort Grange

Beaufort Grange is a nursing home in Bristol. We are registered for nursing care, so qualified nurses are here around the clock rather than calling in, and people generally come to us when health needs have grown past what a residential home or a family at home could safely manage. Most of the people living with us are older adults and a large proportion are living with dementia. Many have a physical disability and need daily help with moving and positioning. We also support younger adults whose health needs call for nursing, and respite admissions are available alongside permanent places. Nursing done properly is quiet, detailed work. Medicines, wounds, pain, pressure care, and making sure people eat and drink enough. The part that cannot be written into a procedure is noticing, and noticing comes from the same staff seeing the same residents over months. That is why keeping our team matters more to us than anything else we could list. Around the clinical side we try to hold on to ordinary life. Somebody who needs two staff to move still chooses what they wear and when they get up. Meals are proper meals. Visitors are welcome at sensible hours and at awkward ones when that is when you can get here after work. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Come and look round and ask whatever you need to ask.
