We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that lightly. Our aim is to make Norwood House feel like a genuine home, where residents are known as individuals and where their preferences, routines and histories shape the way we care for them day to day. Our team supports people living with dementia with patience and consistency, working to maintain familiarity and calm in their environment. For residents with nursing care needs or physical disabilities, we work closely with healthcare professionals to make sure each person receives the right level of clinical support alongside warm, personal care. We are currently working through an improvement journey following our most recent CQC inspection, which rated us as requires improvement. We want to be open about that. We have taken the findings seriously and are making meaningful changes to the way we work, with a clear focus on raising the standard of care and the experience of everyone who lives here. We welcome families to come and visit, ask questions and see for themselves how things are progressing. Respite care is also something we offer for those who need a short break or some additional support during a difficult period, and we try to make that transition as straightforward and comfortable as possible.
