About Fountain Nursing and Care Home
Fountain Nursing and Care Home is in Birmingham, caring for adults who need qualified nursing support alongside help with everyday living. Registered nurses are on duty at all hours, which means clinical needs can be met here rather than through repeated journeys elsewhere, and that when somebody's needs change they usually do not have to move on. Most of the people who live with us are older and many are living with dementia. We build the day around the person as far as we can. Unhurried mornings. Food somebody actually wants. Familiar music. Staff who can tell whether company is welcome or whether quiet would be better. For people living with dementia we keep the constants steady and follow their pace rather than imposing ours, because how a moment feels lasts far longer than whether it is remembered. We also support people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss, where the right equipment and care over how we announce ourselves and describe things make a real difference. Younger adults with nursing needs live here too, and we try to make sure the life of the home has something in it for them. Respite stays are available as well. Please arrange a visit if you would like to see the home and meet the team.
