About Home Instead
Home Instead Stourbridge provides care and support in people's own homes across the town and the surrounding area. Our purpose is to make home a place where somebody can be properly looked after, so that moving elsewhere remains a choice rather than an inevitability. Much of our work is with older adults, helping with personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and getting out safely, and with people living with dementia, where familiarity and an unhurried manner do more good than anything else we could offer. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, where the point is to build confidence at the person's own pace, and with people living with mental health conditions, where a steady relationship and early recognition of changes count for most. We support people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we assist and how we communicate, and younger adults, whose care is planned around work, study, family and independence. We keep the team around each person as small and consistent as we can, because relationships are what make this work. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased about it, and equally aware that it describes what was found at one point rather than something we are entitled to keep.
