About Windmill Hill Care
We are Windmill Hill Care, and we provide care in people's own homes across Birmingham and the neighbouring parts of Worcestershire. We support older people and younger adults, and the aim in both cases is the same: enough of the right help, at the right times, for somebody to carry on living where they want to live. Every arrangement begins with a conversation in the person's own home. How does the day run now? What has become difficult? What do you still want to manage yourself, and where would a hand genuinely help? From those answers we agree the visits, which might be a single short call, several a day, or a longer stretch so that a relative caring full time can get out of the house. We revise the plan as needs move. We should be straightforward about our position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We have looked carefully at what was raised and putting those points right is where our attention is concentrated now. We would rather tell you ourselves and be asked about it than have you find it later. Alongside that, the things we work hardest at are the ones people actually notice: sending the same carers to the same households, arriving when we said we would, and telling families promptly when something has to change. If you would like to talk about support for yourself or a relative, please ring us and ask us anything.
