About Fellside Homecare
Fellside Homecare supports people in their own homes in and around Kendal, in Westmorland and Furness. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with a physical disability, those living with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need practical support at home. Home care only works when it fits the person, so we start by listening rather than by offering a package. We ask how someone likes their day to run, what they still manage well themselves and where a hand would genuinely help, then we write that down in plain language and follow it. As needs change we review and adjust rather than carrying on as before. Visits can cover personal care, medication, preparing meals, household tasks, shopping, getting to appointments and simply spending time with someone. This is a rural area and getting out to the shops, to appointments or to see people is often as important as anything we do indoors. We keep the team around each person small, because a familiar carer at a predictable hour is worth far more than an efficient rota and because familiar carers notice when something has changed. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We say so plainly and are glad to explain how we work. Please get in touch.
