About Reliacare
Reliacare provides support to people in their own homes in Dalton in Furness and the surrounding area. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have physical disabilities, with people managing mental health conditions, and with people whose difficulties have involved alcohol or drugs. What we provide depends entirely on the household. For one person it is a call each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication. For another it is several visits a day covering meals, shopping and housework. For a family who have been managing alone for a long time, it can be a few hours of reliable cover so they can rest or get on with their own commitments. We keep the group of carers going into each home small and steady. Personal care is much easier to accept from someone familiar, and a regular carer is the first to notice when a person is eating less, sleeping badly or becoming low. We expect those concerns to reach us the same day. This is a spread out part of the country and we plan our rounds so carers are not rushing between visits. If we cannot cover a time properly, we say so at the outset. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are arranging care at home locally, please contact us and we will come out and talk it through.
